Fast Tags Auto Title Service provides quick and hassle-free services to vehicle owners. Our staff are responsible for preparing and processing vehicle titles and registration in accordance with state guidelines. Title Clerks provide services in a timely and accurate manner to assure a high level of customer satisfaction. Successful candidates will assist customers with submitting required documentation, forms, and identification. Title Clerks also execute various online services such as driver’s license renewals and tax payments. Under supervision by the Store Manager, duties may vary daily based on the number of clients and type of services requested. However, core duties include but are not limited to greeting and assisting clients, answering phone calls, and responding to questions. General clerical duties include data entry, copying, filing, assisting the Store Manager with office functions, and preparing documentation/paperwork for submission to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or appropriate government office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately processing incoming titles and registration renewals.
- Providing customers with fast, friendly, and courteous service through in person, phone, and email interaction.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues by understanding the customer’s needs, providing appropriate expertise, and delivering solutions.
- Establishing customer loyalty by maintaining a professional and customer-focused manner.
- Organizing and processing DMV forms according to DMV regulations and store policy.
- Notarizing documents and forms according to state regulations and store policy.
- Performing general admin/clerical duties such as filing, preparing documents/reports, ordering supplies, running errands, managing POS/financial systems, and cleaning.
- Contributing as part of a team, adding value to the position, and maintaining accountability.
- Performing other duties as assigned or requested to ensure quality customer experience, optimum service levels and short turn-around times.
SKILLS:
The Title Clerk greets customers, answers questions, verifies tax information, completes transactions, and ensures accuracy of titles and legal documentation. Therefore, a successful candidate must possess the following:
- Two years customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills required, preferably with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong ability to listen, problem-solve, and multi-task.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic math skills to be able to make calculations, apply sales tax, verify figures, collect payment, and manage POS/financial systems.
- Data entry and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn, follow directives, and interpret retail operational documents as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- U.S. citizenship.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Active WV notary license or ability to qualify for and accept notary designation upon employment.
AVAILABILITY:
- Ability to work a full-time (30-40 hrs/week) schedule including weekdays, some weekends, and some holidays.
