Hotel Wailea, Relais & Châteaux, is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join the marketing team. This person will assist the Director of Marketing, Guest Services and other departments to create content and maintain brand standards across digital platforms and on property at our hotel and restaurants. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of marketing experience, a demonstrated ability to work independently and a strong eye for design and detail. This is an on-site position at Hotel Wailea. Essential functions:
· Social Media
o Oversee social media accounts for the hotel and restaurants on Instagram & Facebook and maintain a social media calendar
o Provide social media reporting and analysis to stakeholders
o Be comfortable monitoring feedback and questions from guests, as well as routing and escalating issues when appropriate
o Generate quality social content by shooting compelling photos and videos at our hotels and restaurants, including attendance at some special events and promotions in our hotel and restaurants
o Act as point of contact for influencers, including vetting potential partnerships, negotiating deliverables and creating itineraries
o Attend events and activities as necessary
· Guest Services
o Assist operations/guest services with concept, production and distribution of collateral and stationery pieces.
o Manage events platform, including loading new events, liasing with vendors/partners and troubleshooting issues
o Respond to all TripAdvisor.com reviews and flag with appropriate departments where necessary
o Create and track gift certificates, answer questions & write descriptions for recipients
· Marketing and Public Relations
o Work with agency partners and internal departments to ensure brand standards are met for ad copy, email marketing, website, collateral and promotional pieces
o Edit websites, including creation of pages, edit copy, create landing pages and communicate with agency for design & development tasks
o Assist in the planning, scheduling and creative direction of photoshoots and be present at all photoshoots, including those during early mornings, evenings and weekends
o Provide feedback on photographer edits, organize and disseminate assets, swap in new photos on website, emails, internal documents, etc.
o Research, create/write, test and send 6-10 emails per month for events and activities
o Work with Director and agency partners to contribute feedback during production of new websites and assist with quality assurance for pre- and post-launch of websites.
o Liase with PR and hotel/restaurant for media stays, including pre arrival, reservations, itinerary, property tour and any social collabs
o Maintain digital asset library and provide assets to stakeholders and partners
o Assist with project managing hotel events including updating agenda, following up internally & externally for updates and assisting marketing & guest services on deliverables
o Assist with email coverage while Director is out of the office
o Attend weekly cross-departmental meetings and update team on marketing items
o Other duties as assigned by Director of Marketing, General Manager or Ownership
Knowledge and skills:
· Minimum of 1 year similar experience at a hotel, marketing/event firm, PR agency or marketing/PR department of a dynamic company
· Expertise with Canva, Wordpress, MS Office suite, Loom.ly (or other social scheduler) preferred
· Excellent writing skills and superior judgement
· Must have discriminating perceptions of text/graphic presentation and ability to communicate distinctions to agency partners for revisions
· Must have strong understanding of visual design in digital applications and web pages
· Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
· Valid driver's license
· Hotel experience strongly preferred
· Residence on Maui required
Hours Required: This is an on-site position with the option to work from home 1 day per week after 90 days. Core hours are 8-5 Monday-Friday while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some evening, weekend or holiday work will occasionally be required.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
