The Human Resources Manager oversees all aspects of HR practices and processes at Polyform. The ideal candidate has a strong background in human resources, program management, and benefits and payroll administration, and is able to connect easily with people. This is a part time position requiring no more than 20 hours per week.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plan, monitor, and review all HR activities. Identify and recommend improvements to internal standard operating procedures and HR systems as necessary.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Prepare and submit weekly payroll and regularly maintain HR system data.
- Coordinate benefits administration including leaves of absence, workers compensation claims, and 401k enrollment and communications. Also manage all aspects of the annual open enrollment process for health care benefits.
- Oversee and manage the annual performance review process and system administration.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Facilitate annual merit/pay increase review process and provide compensation data analysis as necessary.
- Lead and manage the recruitment and selection process. Partner with managers to prepare for employee orientation and onboarding.
- Manage all HR communications and report requests. Generate documents such as offer letters, notices/approvals of pay and position changes, disciplinary action letters, and complete required OSHA reporting.
- Manage all employee relations activity. Conduct investigations, as necessary, provide managers with coaching on appropriate disciplinary action and how to counsel employees.
- Maintain HR policies and partner with managers to ensure that policies and procedures are consistently applied. Suggest changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs.
- Maintaining organized records and documents (physical and digital) for employees and HR files.
- Ensure compliance with national and local regulations.
- Handle confidential matters with discretion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of human resource experience with a comprehensive understanding of the HR function and knowledge of industry regulations and labor laws.
- Advanced computer skills. Previous payroll processing and HRIS experience is required. Knowledge of Paylocity preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build partnering relationships across the team.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
