We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns. Your duties will involve supporting patients through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. You will work closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Duties:
- Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to patients, including taking vital signs and performing routine medical tests.
- Collaborate with obstetricians and neonatologists to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Assist with labor and delivery, including managing pain and using neonatal ventilators when necessary.
- Conduct home visits or provide care in medical offices to ensure continuity of care.
- Monitor patients' conditions, administer medications, and provide support for breastfeeding and postpartum care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documentation of medical imaging tests.
- Ensure patients receive appropriate care in emergency situations, such as in the event of a high-risk delivery.
- Perform dialysis, as needed, and provide medical imaging procedures.
- Support patients with inhaled medications and manage pain effectively.
- Demonstrate knowledge of home care and laboratory procedures.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state where the job is located.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience working in a hospital or medical office setting.
- Strong understanding of prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with patients of diverse backgrounds and ages.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Experience with neonatal ventilators and dialysis procedures is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical imaging and laboratory procedures is preferred.
- Certification in lactation support is preferred.
