Executive Pastry Chef -
Molly’s Cupcakes is an award-winning bakery.
We specialize in center filled cupcakes, cakes, pies, and other yummy seasonal treats. We bake everything from scratch in our onsite kitchen, daily.
As a lead pastry chef, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality for Molly’s Cupcakes by mastering the product and effectively leading your team of pastry chefs, bakers & decorators.
This role is a full-time salaried position and blends technical baking and pastry skills, management skills with a dollop of business savvy.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily and weekly inventories
- Manage bakery operations and personnel
- Support the General Manager in managing all areas of the shop – employees, Guest service & events, and business
- Foster a positive work environment and uphold our values of: authenticity, accountability, generosity and equality
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances
- R&D New recipes and products

Requirements:
- Culinary Arts, 2 years (Required)
- Management, 2 years (Preferred)
- Minimum 2 years experience baking at scale, decorating, commercial kitchen experience or education in the culinary arts
- Minimum 1 year experience making custards, mousses, cake batters, cookies and frostings
- Fill, frost and build cakes in any shapes with buttercream
- Manager Food Handlers Certificate (bakery/city specific)
- You prefer to be on your feet and can lift up to 50 pounds, carry cupcake trays, cupcake batter and frosting and bags of boxed purchases
- Sugar on top
Nice to have skills include: experience with hand-crafted pastries, decorating in buttercream, fondant, gum paste; experience managing a team; experience working in a customer service-type role.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
