Duties:
- Prepare sushi dishes following traditional Japanese recipes
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi preparation area
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new sushi menu items
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations
- Engage with customers to provide an exceptional dining experience
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a restaurant or catering environment
- Proficiency in sushi meal preparation, food handling, and menu planning
- Knowledge of food safety practices in the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting while maintaining quality standards
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
