Qualifications and Experience:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team in a contract position. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct assessments and provide translation services for Spanish-speaking families. Required experience must include at least five (5) years experience completing comprehensive functional assessments and behavior support plans, fluent Spanish is required.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Assessments: Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate client needs, strengths, and areas for intervention. This includes conducting in person interviews, gathering relevant information from family members and other stakeholders, and administering standardized assessments in order to develop individualized treatment plans.
2. Translation Services: Serve as the primary translator for Spanish-speaking families, providing clear and accurate translations during various interactions. This includes translating during phone calls, assessments, parent training sessions, programming discussions, and general service inquiries.
Compensation: $65.00- $70.00 per hour based on qualifications/experience
Qualifications:
1. BCBA Certification: Must hold a valid and current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
2. Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages. Ability to accurately translate complex ABA concepts and terminology.
3. Experience in ABA: Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a BCBA, preferably in a clinical or home-based ABA setting. Experience with Spanish-speaking clients is highly desirable.
4. Cultural Competence: Understanding and appreciation of the cultural diversity and dynamics within Spanish-speaking communities. Ability to adapt to meet the unique needs of culturally diverse families.
5. Strong Assessment Skills: At least 2 years experience in conducting comprehensive assessments, interpreting assessment results, and developing individualized treatment plans.
6. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish rapport with families, effectively communicate complex concepts, and provide support and guidance to parents and caregivers.
7. Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
8. Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism, ethical standards, and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, families, and colleagues.
9. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of clients and families.
10. Technology Skills: Proficiency in using technology for assessment, documentation, and telehealth services.
