Office Receptionist - Medical Non-Profit

We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, managing front desk operations, and ensuring the smooth flow of administrative processes in the medical office. Bilingual English/Spanish helpful in this position.
Job Duties:

Welcome patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

Provide assistance and directions to patients as needed.

Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently.

Coordinate with healthcare providers to manage appointment calendars.

Collect and verify patient information during the registration process.

Ensure accuracy of patient records and update as necessary.

Verify insurance information and process necessary documentation.
-
Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide information on coverage.

Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.

Update and maintain electronic and paper medical records.
-
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.

Process co-payments and handle billing inquiries.

Collaborate with the billing department to address any payment issues.

Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and other team members.

Relay messages accurately and promptly.
Experience:
-
Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role.

Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures.

Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.

Ability to handle patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism.

Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to relay information accurately and professionally.
Technology Proficiency:

Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Microsoft Office Suite
