We have a very rewarding opportunity for the right candidate to work alongside our highly qualified skilled nursing team at Soundview Rehabilitation and Healthcare. Situated on the beautiful Fidalgo Island we are a 44- bed skilled nursing facility.
Our approach to resident care is simple: we treat the whole person, not just the ailment. This means that our individualized care plans for residents address all physical symptoms, as well as mental stimulation, socialization and needed support to assist with a resident’s emotional needs.
The selected candidate will not only possess the professional credentials for this position but will also have an innate ability to work compassionately with the elder population in which we serve.
Nurse Responsibilities
- Communicate with physicians and therapy team(s) to keep up on orders, medications, and treatments
- Promote resident independence through education, teaching and supporting each resident’s individual care goals
- Resolve resident problems and needs in a timely manner utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies if/when necessary
- Supervise our Caregivers and Med Techs to help them provide the best nursing care possible for our residents
- Use supplies and equipment appropriately, ensuring items are cleaned and maintained safely and properly in accordance with procedures, rules and regulations
- Protects residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
- Maintain open dialogue with DNS and RCC’s regarding any resident incidents, concerns or feedback
- Observe, record and report resident interactions, irregularities and changes in health by charting in patient and department records
- Assist or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments of residents
- Work in line with Hyatt Family Facilities professional philosophy of caregiving
Nursing requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN/LPN license in good standing by the State Board of Nursing
Preferred Experience
- 2-3 years of experience working on the floor with patients; preferred but not required
- Must possess good bedside manner, strong communication and listening skills, multi-tasking abilities and be willing to work in a team environment

Pay: $36.00 - $49.06 per hour
