Senior IT Technician
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or job experience equivalent
- Valid NYS Drivers’ License.
The Senior IT Tech is responsible for the overall interoperability of the individual components of the company infrastructure and supporting day-to-day help desk activities.
Duties
1. Evaluate, Analyze, and Recommend new software technologies that improve the overall security, functionality, and performance of the company’s IT infrastructure.
2. Design appropriate solution architecture(s) to solve/avoid problems and enhance the user experience through the use of technology.
3. Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (monitors, signature pads, printers, etc.)
4. Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
5. Develop and maintain local networks (wired and wireless) in ways that optimize performance.
6. Manage fleet of mobile phones through their full lifecycle from order, configuration, implementation, asset management/tracking, and finally retirement.
7. Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems. Identify areas of risk for management review.
8. Train new employees during the onboarding session to ensure a positive, smooth onboarding process as it relates to IT setup. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the onboarding session.
9. Maintain technical documentation to include employee access, inventory, and others as necessary.
10. Develop and maintain “How To…” guides for both end user’s and technical support procedures.
11. Perform regular maintenance to equipment throughout the Agency.
12. Troubleshoot computer, server and electronic record issues throughout the Agency.
13. Maintain a professional working relationship with vendors and their intermediaries.
14. Perform other duties and functions as directed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
