Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a
Tier 2 Incident Response Shift Lead (3rd Shift) with expertise in Enterprise Management Operations Center (EMOC) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/ Transportation Security Administration (TSA) customer. This individual will provide leadership and technical expertise to support a 24x7 operations of engineers, Incident Management, Event Management, Request Fulfillment, ITSM Queue Management, Bridge Management actions for hybrid government infrastructure.
This position requires 12 hour weekend shifts Saturday - Monday (6PM - 6AM) and every other Tuesday.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Monitoring, managing and triaging datacenter systems to ensure operation, reporting of anomalies, call-out of Tier 3 staff in coordination with Incident Manager and resolution of issues with physical and virtual datacenter environment.
- Providing leadership written and verbal reporting to support datacenter C2 operations.
- Maintaining knowledge and communicate status of the datacenter environments including providing reporting and updates as needed
- Support training and development of more junior staff on datacenter-specific technologies and processes
- Enable world-wide customers the ability to access and operate mission-critical applications in support of mission requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the USMC enterprise-level hybrid cloud data center operations
- Execution of Data Center Service Desk processes, functions, activities and tasks.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years' experience or Master's degree and 6 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years experience.
- Experience and ability to triage infrastructure and application incidents and events for effective resolution.
- Experience with server administration: Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Linux (RHEL), SharePoint.
- Experience with monitoring and management tools such as vCenter, vSphere, VMWare VRealize Operations Manager, LogInsight, Network Insight
- Experience with enterprise/datacenter Service Desk Operations including use of a service management tool.
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts including weekends possible surge requirements.
- Experience with Active Directory account and server management and monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Directory and server management and monitoring.
- AWS or Azure fundamentals certification or experience.
- VMWare certification or experience (vROPS/Aria Operations).Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
