Job Summary
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist assists with facilitating Harris Health System's diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy. The DEI Specialist will be responsible for proactively developing actionable project plans and collaborating with others to execute related programs, events, trainings, and other firm initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace at Harris Health. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong data analytic skills, excellent written and communication skills. The DEI Specialist will have substantial direct contact/communication with Employee Resource Group leaders, executive leadership, physicians, nurses, other Harris Health employees, and community members. The DEI Specialist will be the DEI Team’s primary administrative support alongside an executive assistant.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees / Work Experience / School Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or related field (Preferred) (And) Three (3) Years Work Experience in diversity & inclusion, employee relations or in other HR related function
(Or)
High School Diploma or GED (And) Seven (7) Years Work Experience in diversity & inclusion, employee relations or in other HR related function
Licenses & Certifications: HR and/or diversity-related certification (i.e., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CDP) preferred
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking), Writing -Correspondence / Reports
Proficiencies: MS Excel, MS Word, Personal Computer
