Job Description - Hybrid Position
An international logistics specialist is responsible for supporting international export and import activities, involved in the preparation of commercial documents in accordance with export/import regulations.
- Assist in identifying perspective partners who can provide Importer of Record Services.
- Negotiate rates with potential partners.
- Support sales with RFP and country import requirements.
- Communicate with appropriate country partners, freight forwarders, and brokers regarding import requirements and timeline.
- Create export documentation required per country specific destination in accordance with country laws and regulations.
- Submit timely instructions to warehouse and freight forwarders.
- Follow through with shipments from pickup to final delivery.
- Resolve problems, including identifying issues, seeking input to determine the best course of action, and implementing solutions.
- Review invoices against determined rates.
- Invoice customers in a timely manner.
- Maintain shipment files.
- Support cross-functional departments within operations.
- Perform other clerical duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, university, or equivalent working experience
