This is an exceptional opportunity for a mature leader with five to eight years of accounting and finance experience, ideally beginning in accounting and audit, followed by experience gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial information to C-suite members.
As part of the Flood Brothers Team, the Financial Controller is responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting, and reporting activities. The Financial Controller will be actively involved in supporting presentations and partner with the CFO, Senior leadership, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, Sales, and Operations to enhance and better integrate functions across the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
- Coordinate all audit activity to ensure accurate recording and posting.
- Leverage strengths of the current finance team members, help clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training programs in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.
- Provide leadership in fortifying internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization.
- Create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
- Stimulate team to consistently meet departmental/organizational goals.
- Identifying and improving system and process deficiencies.
- Ensure department work is accurate and is processed in a timely manner and in compliance with legal regulations.
- Motivate and develop team members using effective feedback techniques and manage the annual performance review feedback process.
- Assist Flood Brothers’ leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results.

- Assist staff in researching and handling complicated transactions and issues.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position holder generally works in an office environment. Will be required to visit different office locations with various environments based on the nature of business.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to walk, speak, stand, and sit. Correctable hearing and sight to normal limits. Occasionally lifting of office supplies and other materials associated with the position up to 20 lbs.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of five years of related experience required as an individual contributor and 3+ years in a supervisory role; preferably in the service/construction industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with internal and external customers.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

SALARY RANGE
$80,000-$120,000/year; based on relevant experience.
TRAVEL REQUIRED
Less than 10%. May travel to additional office location and for educational purposes.
