Job Summary
Washer Operator is responsible for loading and unloading multiple standalone or CBW washers with different types of linens.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Push and/or pulling carts of soiled or clean linen to and from the washing machines.

Operating small and large washing machinery.

Manually feeding laundry into washing machinery.

Retrieving cleaned linens and loading them into carts.

Demonstrates friendly and respectful behavior in the work environment

Assist in any necessary job duty as instructed by Management

Additional duties as assigned

Performing job rotation as required.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Ability to read and write in English
-
Quality orientation and high attention to detail

Able to manage multiple changing tasks and priorities and easily adapt to fluctuating situations

Strong teamwork skills- ready and willing to work closely with employees

Open, and able, to work day or night shifts, and willing to rotate shifts depending on production need

Open to long hours and working weekends (Saturday/Sunday) when necessary
-
Pass a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.

Physical Requirements

Physical demands include constant standing and frequent walking throughout the entire shift
-
Constant reaching above and below shoulder height, twisting, grasping, and pulling items and loading machinery in a repetitive motion.

Constant pushing/pulling of both empty and full wheeled laundry carts of varying weights and sizes, up to and potentially exceeding 250 lbs.

Repetitive hand movement includes simple and power grasping, fine manipulation and pushing and pulling items up to 50 pounds on a constant basis.

Ability to work in a fast-paced modern facility that uses time sensitive production that travels down conveyor belts.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Required to wear and use personal protective equipment.

Ability to hear for safety and awareness of surroundings.

Must be able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.
Work Environment
Production areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, which includes working with and around large machinery, variations in temperature (non-air-conditioned work area), noise, humidity, odors, biological hazards, chemicals, and other hazards.
