Alarmtechs, a Local Low Voltage Construction and Service Company with over 30 Years in the Industry is currently seeking Qualified, "RME-I" or "RME-G" - Licensed Sprinkler Technicians to help our Service Department perform Sprinkler/Fire Alarm Inspections for our customers in the multifamily residential market (apartments), throughout the Houston area.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Help run sprinkler inspections, alongside a Fire Alarm Technician and/or inspection crew, of multifamily properties (Apartments).
- Help maintain and troubleshoot issues on existing customers sprinkler systems as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe and productive work environment for all construction and service jobs.
- Will be leading the work of others, including subs, to complete projects and service calls.
- Train customers on how to use the sprinkler system and troubleshoot any issues.
- Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair alarm system malfunctions.
- Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Maintain good relationship with Project Managers and Property Managers.
- Liaison with vendors, subs and main office in scheduling and ordering material and labor in order to complete projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Applicants should have, at the minimum, a Texas Responsible Managing Employee - General Inspector (RME-I) or Texas Responsible Managing Employee - General (RME-G).
- 2+ Years of experience in the Sprinkler System Installation and Repair field. Multi-Family Housing Experience is a plus, but experience with Commercial and Industrial installs is also acceptable.
- Be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Be willing to take direction and complete necessary documentation for all jobs or company related requirements..
- Be able to work alone to finish projects as needed.
- Be able to work with other employee's and subs to maintain a good working relationship in order to efficiently schedule needed work.
- Be able to establish a good relationship with new and existing customers and maintain good communication.
- Be proficient in hand tools as well as all other trade specific tools and equipment.
- Be organized, reliable and self-motivated.
