Position Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Vacation Rental Housekeeper. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of our vacation rental properties. Your primary goal will be to provide guests with a welcoming and immaculate environment during their stay, contributing to their overall satisfaction and enjoyment.
Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform thorough cleaning of all rooms within vacation rental properties, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and outdoor spaces. Ensure all surfaces are properly sanitized and free of dust, debris, and stains.
2. Linen and Towel Management: Manage the inventory of linens, towels, and other supplies. Wash, dry, fold, and store linens and towels according to established standards. Ensure fresh linens are provided for each new guest arrival.
3. Maintenance: Report any maintenance issues or damage observed during cleaning to the appropriate personnel. Assist in minor maintenance tasks as needed, such as replacing light bulbs, changing batteries, or fixing minor plumbing issues.
4. Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner when necessary. Address any guest concerns or requests promptly and effectively, striving to exceed guest expectations.
5. Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies related to cleaning procedures and guest accommodations. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
6. Inventory and Supplies: Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and amenities. Relay the supplies needs in order to maintain adequate stock levels to support efficient operations.
7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the hospitality team to ensure seamless guest experiences. Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
8. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of vacation rental properties to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently met. Address any deficiencies promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles preferred, particularly in a hospitality or vacation rental setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as needed.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
