Pastry Prep Cook
Sweet Mandy B’s is looking for pastry prep cooks in Streeterville. Training will be provided onsite on all recipes, products, equipment and operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Able to read and comprehend basic recipes
- Capable in making cake batters & cookie doughs
- Able to scoop/portion cookies & cupcake batter, bar cookies, brownies, frosting
- Maintain proper safety of equipment and surroundings including good sanitation and personal hygiene
- Maintain thorough organization of batters, doughs, and all other perishable/non-perishable BOH ingredients
- Willing to be crossed trained into other areas of the bakery
Requirements:
- Culinary Education or a minimum of 2 year work experience highly desired
- Must be detail oriented, highly organized, possess good communication skills, ability to solve problems, & have effective time management skills
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment and work effectively within a team
- Must be able to work quickly in a confined area and stand for extended periods of time
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and accountability
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
