Education/Certification/Licensure: Powered Industrial Truck Permit (requires a passing score on the Powered Industrial Truck training tests administered by LM Manufacturing)
Job Summary
Sequence Tuggers are responsible for picking, sequencing, and moving production parts within the plant; and ensures production line has the correct parts for production in a timely manner. Employees must be able to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
Key Responsibilities of Sequence Tugger Operator
- Picks production materials identified on a pick sheet within the sequencing area in an accurate and timely manner.
- Places material in correct cell containers that coincide with the build sequence.
- Delivers materials to production line via cart and/or tugger in a timely manner.
- Maintains stock in an organized fashion and on a first in-first out (FIFO) basis.
- Assists with monthly physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Must be able to lift and push up to 30 pounds repeatedly.
- Operates material handling equipment including tugger cart.
- Loads and unloads parts from warehouse to production line.
- Initiates, recommends, or provides solutions through appropriate channels; participates in Kaizen/MPS activities.
- Works in a manner that promotes teamwork among fellow employees.
- Completes all paperwork associated with the job assignment in an accurate and timely manner.
- Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely and follows all the Company’s safety policies and procedures.
- Reports all unsafe and unhealthy conditions or acts to management immediately.
- Reports injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses and property damage immediately to your supervisor.
- Complies with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with the LM Employee Charter, the Occupational Health & Safety Act. and the Michigan Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- If there is reason to believe that any equipment, or physical condition of the workplace is likely to endanger the employee or co-worker, or is in contravention of OSHA and MISOHA, notify management immediately.
- If there is any reason to believe that any equipment, physical condition of the workplace or assigned task is likely to jeopardize customer’s requirements, internal requirements or the quality of tests results and/or equipment build, notify management immediately.
- Authorities as detailed in our Quality System for ISO/TS16949 2009 including but not limited to Corrective and Preventative Actions, Control of Documents, Control of Records, Internal Audits and Control of Nonconforming Product.
