What you will be doing:
Deliver WOW Experiences: As a Catering Event Chef, you'll craft exceptional culinary moments at a wide range of events, from intimate dinners and lavish weddings to grand galas with over 800 guests. Our innovative menus span various styles of service, including plated meals, family-style dining, stations, and buffets. You'll ensure each dish is prepared to perfection, creating a memorable experience for every guest.
Collaborate and Lead: Work closely with hors d’oeuvre chefs, culinary assistants, and the kitchen manager to execute flawless events. You'll oversee the preparation and presentation of all menu items, ensuring they meet our high standards and align with event timelines.
Explore Unique Venues: No two events are the same at Russell Morin. From mansions and libraries to private homes and museums, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in some of the most stunning locations across southeastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
Ensure Smooth Operations: Partner with the Kitchen Manager, Event Manager, and Dining Room Captain to guarantee seamless meal service. You'll also handle the transport of food and equipment using company vehicles, ensuring everything arrives on time and in perfect condition.
Optimize Service: Assess and adapt to each event's unique constraints and capabilities, ensuring that every meal service runs smoothly and efficiently.

What we are looking for:
We are looking for people willing to embrace our core values and can bring the following to the team:
- Prior catering or mobile kitchen experience preferred
- A strong understanding of food handling and food sanitation
- Strong knife skills
- Able to work within tight and often evolving time frames
- Professional behavior, positive outlook
- Ability to use a variety of commercial kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
- Ability to follow directions, communicate effectively as a member of a team, and delegate tasks
- Night and weekend availability is required; Thursday - Sunday required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
- Punctual, reliable transportation is required, must have a valid driver’s license
Traveling to
Compensation:
$22.00-24.00 per hr. while training on event event shifts
$25.00/hr. for event shifts once training is complete
$18.00-$21.00 per hr. for supplemental shifts in our commissary kitchen
Pay rates are based on skills and experience
