Big Machine Distillery is seeking full-time Market Managers for Florida. The Market Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with all distribution channels and maintaining a visible presence in the market with retailers and distribution partners.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver assigned volume and share growth of the portfolio for the state assigned.
- Call on and develop relationships with all channels of distribution with a focus on independent retail and on-premise accounts.
- LOTS of travel is expected- up to 50% with periodic weekend and overnight travel
- Maintain a visible and value-added market presence with key retailers and distributor partners.
- Through distributor work-withs and independent work, effectively influence retailers to purchase company portfolios.
- Proactively evaluate and report on distributor inventory levels
- Via both presentations and work-withs, builds distributor knowledge of, and belief in, company brands. Through various means, you will need to build knowledge and belief in the BMD brand. Constantly educate distributors, retail partners, and brand ambassadors through various means.
- Work with the Executive Team to establish stretch but achievable volume and distribution goals and put in place activities to achieve targets.
- Must be comfortable with cold-calling potential customers.Skills & Qualifications
- Able to obtain a state solicitors license
- Must have a place to store POS.
- 3 years of experience in alcoholic beverage sales, at the distributor or supplier level
- Location: Illinois
- 3 years’ experience in alcoholic beverage sales, at the distributor or supplier level.
- Skills: Must be familiar with the three-tier system, the ideal candidate will have experience working with Republic National Distributing. Must be comfortable selling to all channels of distribution and understand the spirits business. Must be comfortable analyzing sales opportunities and thinking outside of the box—understanding MicroStrategy and ERNDC.
- Mindset – Sales take a creative approach while adhering to the alcohol laws of the state Must have a creative approach while also adhering to the alcohol laws of the state.
- Tenacity & Work Ethic – It is a sales role, so you must be self-motivated and require little supervision to deliver high-quality work and be able to overcome objections and figure out a way to make things happen. Since this is a sales role, the candidate must be self-motivated and require little supervision. High-quality work must be delivered and an ability to overcome objections to close sales is required.
- Must have reliable transportation, be able to lift 40lbs, and have a laptop computer, and iPad or similar. Reliable internet. For periodic Microsoft Teams calls.
Experience:
- 3 years in alcohol sales
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- Some weekend and night availability are required
Salary:
- Base Salary depending on experience, plus periodic bonus
