Duties: - Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing - Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals - Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature - Provide companionship and emotional support to clients - Assist with mobility and transfers - Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary - Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up - Manage challenging behaviors and provide behavior management techniques - Provide end-of-life care and support for clients in hospice care - Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care Requirements: - Previous experience in senior care or caregiving preferred - Knowledge of nursing home procedures and protocols - Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks - Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus - Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients - Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
