The position is available as either a .6 FTE, equating to 24 hours per week, or a .8 FTE, which is 32 hours per week. Shifts will include a combination of day and overnights, with an every third weekend rotation and will be 12-hour shifts.
Our Maternity Unit is a 22-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit, complete with a staffed well-baby nursery, offering comprehensive care throughout pregnancy and childbirth. Our dedicated team collaborates closely with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), ensuring care extends beyond the newborn to also include the postpartum mother, fostering family unity.
Responsible and accountable for providing quality professional nursing care to patients and their families and significant others adhering to the WI Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Code of the WI Board of Nursing, and/or appropriate nursing standards governing nursing in the state of practice, the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and Bellin Health Policies and Procedures. The responsibility includes providing a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors and working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary health care team to provide the best outcomes for the patient. Community involvement and collaboration are encouraged.
RN License in the state of practice required (RN must practice under the law and regulations governing nursing in the state of practice). Certification encourage in job specialty if not already required as listed below.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required upon hire or within six months of hire EXCEPT Mother-Baby Nurses and Outreach Educators.
