The Senior HR Specialist will assist in executing benefit solutions based on the benefits strategy, participate in benefit projects, train and mentor HR Specialists and be the Benefits Subject Matter Expert as it relates to administration and the HCMS system. You will be responsible and accountable for thoroughly updating various data fields in modules of our HCMS to ensure accurate payrolls. You will be expected to provide exceptional service to all customers while ensuring proper administration of the benefit plans. Adhering to company compliance with federal and state laws governing benefits plans, including but not limited to HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, DOL, ADA. There will also be some project work to further the Total Rewards team's quarterly or yearly goals and objectives assigned to you.

Responsibilities
- Explains retirement benefit plan policies, procedures, and legal requirements to employees and beneficiaries.
- Conducts retirement and other benefits-related calculations and analysis using HCMS and Vendor/Carrier reports.
- Acquires and distributes relevant information and documentation to employees and their beneficiaries.
- Serves as a liaison between beneficiaries and participants and the plan administrator, handling or facilitating requests for contribution adjustments, refunds, and other administrative changes.
- Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules. Ensures that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave. Processes and administers all leave-of-absences: medical, personal, disability and FMLA within Dayforce (HCMS).
- Assists with New-Hire Orientations and Open Enrollment process.
- Responsible for processing and managing all personnel changes including but not limited to, new hires, terminations, qualified life events and transfers in HCMS. This includes controlling the workflow and ensuring data is entered accurately in a timely manner.
- Responsible for executing monthly Benefits invoicing/billing process.
- Perform customer service functions and on-going support for Total Rewards programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
