Quality Systems Auditor
Summary of Responsibility
Combines an understanding of both engineering and the QMS while working with various departments to manage and develop systems within DCS. Increases productivity in the workplace and works to balance various aspects of each project.
Job Description
- Conduct Internal Audits as required per the IATF standard.
- Ensure adherence to the latest version of IATF 16949, VDA 6 and the underlying principles and philosophies behind it.
- Provide support to all departments in implementing and managing QMS.
- Coordinate and lead all aspects of Internal, External Registrar and Customer audits.
- Lead and/or schedule internal audit dates with auditors. Lead in the preparation, participation and follow up of external audits. This includes scheduling and participating in internal and surveillance audits, communicating audit results, and coordinating closure of any corrective actions identified during these audits.
- Coordinate the corrective action system by managing all aspects of internal non-conformances, including timely resolution and communication.
- Documents and communicates management review meeting minutes and tracks follow-up items.
- Lead or participate in training of staff in the requirements of the QMS.
- Coordinate the awareness of customer specific requirements.
- Report (KPI) regularly on progress against specified objectives, goals and targets.
- Ensures annual review of the Contingency Plan.
- Has completed Core Tools Training (APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC) and has a workable understanding of the linkages between these documents
Health & Safety
- Liase with environmental & safety consultant company/companies as a direct line of communication between them and DCS. Drive safety & environmental improvements within DCS.
- Ensure all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations are followed.
- Ensure adherence to established housekeeping standards (5S).
- Respond immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, non-compliance issues.
- Adheres to DCS’s health and safety, environmental, operating procedures, policies and forms.

Continuous Improvement
- Participate in internal audits.
- Champion continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts for the department.
- Coordinate with other departments to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
- Introduce or recommend changes to work methods, aligned with IATF16949:2016 and ISO9001:2015 methodology.
Minimum Qualifications
1. At least two year of manufacturing experience
2. 2 years of Quality Engineer experience preferred.
3. MUST be certified as an auditor to pertinent automotive standards.
4. Bachelor’s degree preferred; Can be exempted with field experience
5. Working knowledge in Control Plan / FMEA development and/or updating/maintaining the documents.
6. Working knowledge in proper document revisions and retention
7. In depth Knowledge of QMS and IATF16949:2016/ISO9001:2015
8. Must have excellent interpersonal skills to exercise influence at various levels and functions.
9. Experience with AIAG Core Tools (APQP, FMEA, CP, MSA, SPC)
10. Working knowledge / previous experience with managing a quality system
