*About the Role*
We are drowning in a sea of important and never-ending operational responsibilities and administrative duties.
We are seeking an Operations / Administrative Generalist to join as our 4th employee. You will act as the shield for the team against administrative duties. You will also be responsible for critical operational results across asset acquisition, construction, leasing, property management, finance, lending, and asset disposition. You will be the unwavering guardian of the executive team's mental headspace, proactively identifying problems, ensuring operational excellence, deftly executing critical but tedious responsibilities, and even relentlessly filtering out the trivial, spam, and scam.
We don’t handhold. Instead, we’ll give you ambiguous yet contained problems and expect you to figure it out. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver who feels like no work is beneath them, as long as the work is important to the bigger picture and enables the executive team to focus on growth.
*From day one, you'll be instrumental in:*
* *Operational Shielding*: Execute important, but tedious operational responsibilities that would otherwise fall onto the plate of the executives.
* *Administrative Shielding*: Execute important, but tedious administrative responsibilities that would otherwise fall onto the plate of the executives.
* *Proactive Shielding*: Seek out problems and ask questions. Proactively identify and eliminate administrative and operational responsibilities that consistently pull the executive team away from the bigger picture.
* *Efficiency Obsession*: A byproduct of rapid growth is waste. You’ll be responsible to hunt down these inefficiencies and eliminate them.
*As we continue to thrive, you'll also:*
* *Streamline Systems:* Implement processes and technologies to ensure smooth and scalable operations of property acquisition, management, and disposition, as well as construction, leasing, and financial management.
*You're the ideal candidate if you:*
* Don’t think any work is beneath you.
* Find it easy to adopt new software tools and know your way around spreadsheets.
* Are energized by an extremely fast paced work environment.
* Understand the difference between ownership and merely completing tasks.
* Are willing to track down team members including executives to enforce order.
*Specific responsibilities include:*
* Coordinating transactions for building acquisition and building disposition.
* Drafting lease agreements, purchase contracts and contractor proposals.
* Processing loans and updating financial statements.
* Collecting property-specific marketing materials: floor plans, photos, etc.
* Communicating with real estate brokers, buyers, sellers, and tenants.
* Maintaining our CRM database of brokers, buyers, sellers, and tenants.
* Analyzing P&L statements to reduce property expenses.
* Work closely with our bookkeepers on A/P and A/R.
* Handle new entity filings & entity renewals.
*Not required:*
* Experience in the commercial real estate industry.
* Experience as an admin assistant or operations generalist.
*Compensation*
We offer a competitive compensation package, including salary, benefits, along with the opportunity to grow with a forward-thinking real estate organization.
