Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Services Representative to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical or dental office settings and possess strong administrative skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify insurance information and assist with billing processes
- Maintain electronic health records using systems like eClinicalWorks or Eaglesoft
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers
- Ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times
- Assist with administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the clinic
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with office software and electronic health record systems like eClinicalWorks or Eaglesoft
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with patients and staff professionally
- Experience with phone systems and handling patient inquiries effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks efficiently
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
- 6+ months of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
- Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $21.40 - $22.00 per hour
