Job Description:
This information management officer works in DASA DE&C's information technology department. Their chief responsibility is to handle the processing, storage, and security of the organization's data. Apart from this primary duty, an information management officer may also be responsible for developing information systems, implementing new strategies, handling different data types, preparing documentation, and generating necessary reports. They report directly to managers and may also be expected to make progress reports and presentations.
Responsibilities:
Supports applications, hardware, software (HW/SW) and information management/assurance initiatives.
Supports all IT initiatives in the following areas: architecture (operational, systems, technical), enterprise/Information Technology (IT) requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Continuity of Operations, data management, configuration control boards, electronic business, business process reengineering reviews, customer satisfaction reviews, service level agreement development, IT acquisition, independent Government cost estimates, records management, publications, printing and visual information.
Analyzes and develops approaches, strategies, and policies for solving new IT issues and implementing new concepts; and resolve critical problems with existing systems.
Support the IT programs as well as responding to all queries and issues important to customers.
Conducts IT Training and provide support personally to all users including VIP personnel at their desk side.
Demonstrates knowledge of Army Regulation 25-1, IAW Army Knowledge Management.
Provides IT communications and direct support to Generals, Senior Executive Service (SES) members, Directors, Deputy Directors and Division Directors on event plans and presentations, including delivering communication products on time with-in project budgets.
Documents user support activity, such as system problems, corrective actions, resolution status, and completed equipment installations.
Consults with users and administrators to identify business and technical requirements for proposed system modifications or technology purchases.
Ensures all new users have NIPRnet (and SIPRnet, as applicable) accounts by establishing a User Access Requests for each user.
Analyzes hardware and software requirements and works with DISA Joint Service Provider (JSP) to resolve common use software and hardware failures remotely and through collaboration with technical experts.
Establishes project management processes or methods used daily by personnel for IT software development with JSP/DISA.
Manages all personnel moves of IT equipment and connectivity of NIPRnet and SIPRnet installations to an active port
Manages issuance of govt cell phones and IT equipment ensuring hand receipts are properly updated
Required Skills and Experience:
· Must possess a current Security Clearance (Secret level)
· Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred and at least five (5) years of professional experience is required
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Composed standard operating procedures for responsibilities and regulations as an IMO
· Served as the Senior Information Management Officer in an DoD environment
· Certified with Security plus, MCP, and Information Assurance Tech L1, and Information Management (IMO) certified
· Coordinated DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process activities
· Disseminated and enforced all Network Enterprise and Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology regulations and Information Assurance policies
· Ensured workplace computer hardware compiled to DoD security standards to include troubleshooting and patching

Pay: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
