Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a reliable Shop Manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the progress of portable buildings (sheds) from start to finish in a timely and cost-effective manner. Your key responsibilities will include planning, organization, implementation, quantified materials, order materials and scheduling of the projects.
As the Shop Manager, you will work closely with various reps to ensure smooth project execution. With great attention to detail and strong organizational skills, you will ensure that all construction activities align with the established timeline and budget.
Your expertise in management will be crucial in coordinating resources, resolving any issues that may arise, and delivering successful construction projects.
Duties:
- Oversee and direct construction units from start to finish
- Oversee all onsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Provide direction to general workers, subcontractors, and vendors when doing groundwork to ensure that quality standards are being met
- Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
- Meet contractual conditions of performance
- Review the work progress on daily basis
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status through our system.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging needs
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction technique
Experience:
- Proven experience in siding installation, wood framing, carpentry
- Familiarity with roofing installation and painting
- Proficiency in using hand tools for frame carpentry
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
