We have a newly created opportunity to join our global IT team as an IT Manager, SAP – MM. This role is working onsite and can be based at our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL (near O’Hare). Travel between our Milwaukee and Chicago office will be required for this role.
As an IT Manager, SAP – MM you will build and manage a team within the Information Technology organization responsible for the design, implementation and improvement of the SAP ECC and S4 Hana systems related to Materials Management, for our KNA and KMT global business units
- Develop strong partnerships with business leadership and functional team to ensure open communication and alignment on ongoing initiatives and understanding of business requirements and impacts
- Lead the SAP-MM team to deliver business transformation project with SAP S/4 Hana platform with alignment with business leadership to ensure the transformation project to realize business values identified
- Align business strategies with IT investment and priorities. Develop and deliver on a strategy that includes the provision of new solutions, the management/remediation of existing applications, and the continuous improvement of internal operations
- Discuss and implement process improvements, maintain an awareness of functional best practices, and partner with the user community and business user leadership about future technology needs and the development of a technology roadmap
- Evaluates current state applications environment and drives initiatives to improve and deliver optimized solutions
- Develops expertise in current technology through training and experience and provides recommendations on industry best practices
- Creates a culture across teams that drives successful delivery and adoption of technology and business process solutions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with IT peers, cross-functional team members, internal customers, and external vendors
- Function as a technical hands-on working member of the team when the situation requires
- Assign, design, configure, develop and document system change requests per departmental systems life cycle and audit guidelines
- Develop and oversee project plans, resource and capacity planning, testing, deployment, and documentation processes
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, IT, Computer Science or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience to include: Configuring, testing and supporting SAP Materials Management, as well as assisting SAP business users on standard functionality and business processes and testing of new functionality and leading
- 3+ years of IT management experience, managing SAP MM teams preferred
- Expert in Material management process including procuring, processing and production of materials with transactions such as Purchase Order (PO), Purchase Requisition (PR), Contracts, Inventory Valuation, Vendor Management and Materials Requirement Planning
- Knowledge of software application architecture, programming, software engineering, relational database theory and design, and project management
- Previous project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, and coaching junior employees.
- Business knowledge should include all phases of system development, from analysis though project planning, through implementation and support
