Our healthcare client in Anderson, SC is looking for a Strategic Pricing Analyst for a permanent position.
Strategic Pricing Analyst
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- BA in Finance, Healthcare or another Business-related field. Masters preferred.
- Three years financial experience with a healthcare organization (financial analysis work, experience with hospital and physician reimbursement terms, payer/plan experience)
- Epic Revenue Integrity, Hospital Billing and or CDM certifications.
- Three years Hospital Charge Description Master and charge experience.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, or Microsoft Power Bl
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
SUMMARY OF POSITION PURPOSE
The Strategic Pricing Analyst position is responsible for performing analytics related to minimizing the lesser of charge payment penalty while balancing the charge description master price elasticity. Additionally, the SPA will work closely in identifying opportunities to maximize Managed Care contract revenue. The SPA will work closely with the Epic CDM analyst to ensure compliance with changes and updates to pricing. The position will manage the VitalWare pricing project, ensuring the project meets budgetary expectations. Secondary to the position is the responsibility and compliance of the Federal Price Transparency law. The position will work closely with the Director of Managed Care, Epic CDM, Marketing and revenue producing department directors.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement a process to minimize the HB lesser of charge payment penalty while balancing charge master price sensitivity. Develop and implement a process to minimize the PB lesser of charge payment penalty while balancing charge master price sensitivity.
- Develop and implement a scorecard to track reduction in lesser of penalty for HB and PB.
- Manages the VitalWare pricing project and ensures the project meets budgetary expectations.
- Develop and implement a process to timely post transparency files.
- Utilizing transparency data, develop and implement a process to compare managed care contracted rates to competitors.
- Assist with transparency information related to expansion services.
