The Sr. System Administrator engages with customers of to provide on-site, remote support, and managed IT services. This role will lead a growing team to address support calls, server and network infrastructure operated at customer and co-location sites. The senior system administrator will address requests and tasks that are escalated from system administrators.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Cloud platform experience such as Azure, AWS or GCP administration
- Networking experience with platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, Dell, etc.
- Exchange server administration
- Linux – administration and CLI
- Remote and virtual access implementation
- System and Business Analysis
- Scripting or procedural programming
- Powershell
EDUCATION
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE or Microsoft Azure certifications
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership to technical team of system administrators
- Addressing escalated and front-line customer and colleague issues through phone, email or trouble ticketing systems
- Server configuration, installation, and upgrades
- On-site support of QTG customers that need assistance with systems, networking and addressing other IT needs
- Administration of infrastructure tools, including, but not limited to: LastPass, Bitdefender, Bitbucket, Jira, PagerDuty, O365, Clockify.me, WordPress, AWS
- Execution, Monitoring and Configuration of backups
- Assisting CTO in analysis, research and monitoring of operations
- Rotation on a 24x7 pager schedule
- Processing / completing tickets and tasks in the QTG backlog
GENERAL INFORMATION SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Respond to all potential or actual security or privacy incidents.
· Document, assess scope and track incidents.
· Responsible for Executing the QTG Incident Response Plan.
· Create and update the list of risks in the Risk Assessment and Treatment workbook based on the threats that currently affect the company.
· Own a company-owned asset if an owner is not identified as an asset in the Asset Inventory.
· Ensure that a review of access grants to information systems is completed.
· If there is no Vendor Owner, ensure that any changes to vendor relationships are approved and documented in the Vendor Management Tool. All vendors are reviewed by the Security Team at least annually.
· Ensure that encryption keys are securely generated, stored, assigned, revoked, and destroyed when no longer in use.
· Manage the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information systems for which they are responsible in compliance with company policies on information security and privacy.
· Approve technical access and change requests for non-standard access to systems under their control.
· Act at all times in a manner which does not place at risk the health and safety of themselves, other persons in the workplace, and the information and resources they have use of.
· Help to identify areas where risk management practices should be adopted.
· Take all practical steps to minimize the company’s exposure to contractual and regulatory liability.
· Adhere to company policies and standards of conduct.
· Report incidents and observed anomalies or weaknesses.
