Bowtie Guardian: Weekend Call Coverage

Job Summary: Bowtie Medical is a cutting-edge healthcare company that delivers comprehensive virtual medical care for patients across many states in the US with skill in reducing the waste that occurs in our health system. This care includes acute care, chronic condition care, wellness, and mental health. As the first point of contact for BowTie Medical patients (called members), Bowtie Guardians help to improve members’ health and reduce their costs while building trust through compassionate customer service. They are the “quarterback” for all of the member’s needs.
Location: Any – remote. Licensing: must be an RN licensed in the Nursing Compact.
Job Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Cover member calls between 8PM Friday and 8AM Monday. This can be done in shifts of 8-12 hours as determined by the covering nurses.
- Triage calls into non-medical and health related.
- Non-medical calls will be logged with disposition by the weekday care team.
- Health needs will be triaged using the validated ClearTriage tool.
- Triage as indicated to UC, ER, scheduled visit, nurse advice or urgent visit.
- If triage indicates a visit is urgently needed with a BowTie primary care provider, this will be facilitated.
- Log all call information in the digital customer relationship management programs and facilitate EMR documentation for provider visits when needed.
- Work with the Director of Health Guardianship and others on special projects
- Perform other related duties as directed or required.
Education: RN.
Experience: minimum 4 years in primary care or urgent care. Triage experience desirable.

Remote/Office: The position is remote, allowing for work from the comfort of your home. This will require reliable computer and communication/internet capabilities in an area/room with privacy and security needs in addition to a professional video appearance. This includes a stable and secure internet connection, with consistent download/upload speeds at rates to support video conferencing (minimum 25 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload). BowTie Medical will supply a work laptop with accessories.
Hours: Our office hours are 8am-8pm EST Monday through Friday. This position is for full time weekend and weeknight call coverage. Shifts will be split between several employees whenever possible. If weekend shifts are covered, weekday night shifts can be covered as an option.
Benefits: BowTie Medical offers an array of benefits to full time employees. Full time status is 32-40 hours per week. Provided all Bowtie needs are covered and work completed, there is no vacation limitation (after completion of the probationary period.)
