Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the studio in the owner's absence
- Provide exceptional customer service and elevate member experience through enlightened hospitality
- Manage communication with a large team of instructors
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the studio
- Advanced Administrative Management: The Studio Assistant will be the backbone of our high-volume fitness studio, managing a heavy workload with precision and efficiency. This role demands an individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting and can stay calm and focused under pressure.
- Email Correspondence: You will be responsible for handling a substantial volume of emails daily. This includes timely and effective communication with members, staff, and other stakeholders. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that all queries are addressed professionally, providing clear and concise responses to a range of inquiries.
- Filing and Coordination: Organizational skills are key in this role. You will manage extensive filing systems, both digital and physical, ensuring that all records are kept up-to-date and are easily accessible. Coordination tasks will include scheduling classes, organizing studio events, and liaising with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Membership and Package Sales: A significant part of your role will involve the facilitation of class sign-ups and the promotion and sale of memberships and class packages. This requires not only administrative diligence but also a flair for customer service and sales, helping members choose the best options to suit their fitness goals.
- Issue Resolution: Handling issues swiftly and effectively is a critical aspect of this role. You will be the first point of contact for any problems that arise, whether they are related to membership, classes, or general studio operations. Your ability to assess situations quickly, determine the best course of action, and execute solutions will be crucial in maintaining the studio’s reputation for excellent service.
- Training: Training new hires.
Requirements:
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Minimum commitment of 3 shifts per week, including one weekend morning
- Prior experience with fitness-specific booking platforms is preferred
- Active, certified instructors are highly desirable
- Must exhibit a confident, engaging personality
Skills & Qualifications:
- Assertive personality with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
- High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Google Workspace, fitness CRM systems, and tech-savviness
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Proven experience in a Concierge or similar role
Essential Functions:
- Open/close the studio, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness
- Assist with member sign-in, schedule information, and event collateral
- Engage in outreach and sales of memberships and class packages
- Nurture new member relations
