We are looking for both a full time friendly and organized Medical Receptionist/Patient Registrar to join our growing healthcare team in Keller (FTW). This role will require you to work at the Front Office of our clinic and assist our patients and other visitors. Your primary job duties include greeting and checking in patients, answering questions, collecting patient co-pays, processing paperwork, inputting of charges, answering phones and scheduling & confirming appointments. This role will also help keep our records and work areas clean and organized, as well as ensure our office provides a warm and welcoming environment for all patients and visitors.
Medical Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients and other visitors when they arrive with a warm and welcoming smile
- Answer patient questions and provide assistance when necessary with confidence and compassion
- Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and review them to ensure that required fields are completed properly
- Collect co-pays, input co-pays
- Input charges
- Field phone calls and respond to emails
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Cross-trained to assist in back when or if needed
- Manage inventory of necessary office supplies and coordinate reordering
Medical Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certificate program in the medical field required
- 2+ years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role
- Familiar with medical terminology
- Must be able to work until 7PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week
- May require travel to sister location (Southlake) to cover front office when or if needed
