Job Overview:
Join our reputable medical practice as a Medical Assistant and play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill this position on a part-time to full-time basis as we Build the Practice Up!
Responsibilities:
- Room patients and take vital signs with a compassionate and positive demeanor.
- Record patient's chief complaints and medications accurately into our electronic health record system.
- Assist in the setup and processing of X-rays; certification training will be provided.
- Support healthcare providers during in-office procedures and surgeries.
- Ensure proper sanitation of surgical equipment to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Manage inventory and place orders for medical supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, restocking after each patient visit.
- Handle autoclave maintenance to uphold sterilization protocols.
- Coordinate mail services and oversee orthotic devices, including pickups.
- Efficiently triage phone calls from various healthcare professionals and pharmacies.
- Engage in cross-training for front office responsibilities to support seamless operations.
- Consistent attendance is highly valued in our team.
Requirements:
- Medical Office Experience
- EHR experience (Nextgen preferred but no required)
- Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures and anatomy knowledge is beneficial.
- Strong background in patient care delivery with a focus on compassion and empathy.
- Ability to provide medical administrative support efficiently.
