About this Position
Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will support the planning and implementation of our grant funded water programs. This position will engage and educate residents and the community at large on grant programs and rebates; conduct site assessments to help develop project plans; and coordinate all aspects of volunteer installation days.
This is a full-time (40 hours/week), hourly position that is based in Petaluma. It allows for a flexible schedule with weekend and occasional evening hours required to coordinate programs, averaging 3-4 programs/ month. This position spends 50% of time in the office and 50% in the field.
Responsibilities
● Coordinate all aspects of on the ground grant programming including: community engagement, educational presentations, site assessments, and installations.
● Supervise and educate interns, community and corporate volunteers, and workforce development groups in on-the ground activities.
● Utilize project management and design tools such as Asana, GeoPlanner, Adobe Illustrator and Sketchup to support site assessments and landscape design.
● Educate on water conservation topics such as sheet mulching, rain water harvesting, rain gardens, and laundry-to-landscape greywater.
● Build and foster relationships with key community partners, agencies and businesses.
● Track, report and participate in evaluations of all grant program activities.
● Assist other Daily Acts programs to enhance delivery and maximize collaboration.
● Support organization-wide fundraising events.
● Represent Daily Acts at community events and meetings.
Required Qualifications
● Ability to juggle a diverse array of tasks to a high standard.
● Ability to work well with tight timelines and shifting priorities.
● Self-starter, who can take initiative and troubleshoot problems effectively.
● Team player with excellent interpersonal communication, group facilitation and
collaboration skills.
● Ability to listen and communicate respectfully within the organization and among
community partners.
● Comfortable public speaker with proven verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to create and maintain tracking systems to show progress towards goals.
● Ability to perform field work involving digging, shoveling, planting, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) and loading heavy materials.
● Committed to growth and education on work related topics to improve performance.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing demands, while maintaining a grounded, positive and proactive attitude.
● Experience using Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
● Integrity, credibility and a commitment to and passion for the Daily Acts’ mission.
Preferred Experience
● Previous program or event coordination experience.
● Experience working with and collaborating with a team.
● Bilingual, bicultural preferred.
● Knowledge of water conservation, stormwater management interventions such as rain
gardens, laundry-to-landscape greywater systems, rain catchment and lawn conversions,
irrigation and planting.
● Well-developed network of contacts (community, business, municipal, school, etc.) within Sonoma County.

Compensation
Pay for this position ranges from $25 - $28/ hour. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Daily Acts offers a benefits package including medical insurance (50% employer paid), paid holidays (11.5 days annually), paid vacation (10 days annually), and paid sick time (10 days annually).
