$2,500 Sign on Bonus ($1,250 paid out at 6 months and $1,250 paid out at 1 year)
Lakemary is looking for a Residential Therapist for our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility. This position will provide individual, family and group therapy and crisis intervention within the residential environment. This position is located in our newly constructed, state-of-the art residential building and is part of the leadership team that helps plan and make sure active treatment is occurring in the residences. As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, this position will assist in behavior support planning, family and team support and be an active member of treatment planning. This role functions under general supervision of a Clinical Director.
Residential Therapist Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement Group Therapy.
- Provide direction and support to residential staff about Active Treatment Planning regarding:
- Active treatment activities and interactions.
- Developing daily schedules.
- Providing tools necessary for implementation of the daily active treatment activities.
- Provide continued communication to Residential Therapist in planning and preparing treatment of assigned cases.
- Provide crisis intervention and complete timely documentation
An ideal candidate for this position has:
- Ability to:
- Communicate with persons served who have a variation in disabilities.
- Maintain satisfactory attendance at work site.
- Be flexible and work in different treatment situations to accommodate the disabilities of the person served and treatment service needs.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with persons served and work effectively as a professional in a treatment team effort.
- Maintain confidentiality of persons served.
Residential Therapist Qualifications:
- Minimum Master’s degree in behavioral science field with training/knowledge in treatment of mental health conditions.
- Minimum of practicum/internship experience providing direct clinical services.
- Specific experience with group therapy and/or crisis intervention is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Be at least +18 years of age
Other Job Details:
- Day hours 11am to 7pm Sunday through Thursday

Certifications:
- Current License by the Kansas Behavioral Science Board or qualified to become Licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Science Board.
