Summary of Responsibilities
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk team leader under direct supervision of the Materials Handling Supervisor, this position will be responsible for lead and coordinate the packing, unpacking, identification and transportation of incoming and out coming product in all locations in the plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow and comply with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs
- Attend and participate in Team, Department, Plant-wide and any other meetings as required.
- Conduct all activities in a professional manner and positive attitude with an emphasis on personal responsibility.
- Follow and update proper Materials Management procedures.
- Monitor Trucking Schedule Transportation
- Training people to accomplish with the procedure
- Work closely with all departments and groups within the organization that impact inventory accuracy to determine root cause and define controls for inventory inaccuracies.
- Coordinate Load and unload trucks as required.
- Quantity checks/items check
- Assurance of Measure weight of materials received.
- Manual counting
- Incoming: Place Shipment in inspection area: Remove inspected materials.
- Outgoing: Remove inspected materials, label appropriately, pace ready for shipment
- Guarantee and coordinate FIFO - First In/First Out
- Shipping document control and other procedures.
- Recommend proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity and working environment.
- Work overtime as required by customer demands.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills and Experience
- Forklift driving experience.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to understand and follow routine, oral and written instructions precisely.
- EAP experience is a plus
Work Environment
- Office and manufacturing plant floor, characterized by temperature extremes, loud noise and considerable tow motor traffic
- The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with team members, leadership, customers and suppliers.
- Must be able to attend planning and training meetings as required
