We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Medical Office Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong managerial skills, have experience with front desk operations, and be capable of assisting in the back as a Medical Assistant when necessary. This role is vital in ensuring smooth and efficient patient flow, excellent patient care, and overall clinic success.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Knowledge:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-ups.
- Handle patient inquiries, both in-person and over the phone.
- Process patient registration, verify insurance information, and manage patient records.
- Collect and process payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances.
Managerial Skills:
- Supervise and train front desk staff (when needed), ensuring adherence to clinic policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient scheduling and clinic workflow.
- Address and resolve patient complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist in the development and implementation of office policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage office supplies and equipment inventory.
Medical Assistant Support:
- Assist in clinical tasks such as taking patient vitals, drawing blood, preparing patients for examination, and administering medications as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and examinations.
- Update and maintain patient medical records accurately and confidentially.
- Follow-up with patients regarding test results, treatment plans, and appointments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a medical office setting.
- Must be comfortable dealing with patients.
- Strong understanding of medical office operations, including front desk and back office procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
