Summary of Responsibilities
We are seeking a strong Sales Operations Manager to be a key member of the Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in both driving sales and building out our sales team. With our current team consisting of one salesperson, you'llbe responsible for not only managing sales efforts but also recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing sales team to achieve our company goals. The ideal candidate is skilled in problem-solving and possessing sound judgment, alongside patience, composure, and a positive attitude. This person should excel in multitasking and exhibit excellent customer service abilities.
Essential Functions
- Ensure that projects are sold to meet company profitability targets
- Teach skills to self-generate appointments in addition to some verified appointments
- Hold the sales team accountable forkeeping in touch with clients and closing their leads in a timely manner
- Be accountable for marketing and branding results
- Set and monitor sales and marketing budgets and results
- Keep up to date with our financing options and train the sales team on how to fit a customer for the best financing options for them
- Develop a strong sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education
- Assist with the recruiting of team members
- Ensure that each team member in your department is the right person in the right seat they hit their metrics and share our core values
- Setsales goals for team and ensure they achieve them
- Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team
- Update Key Sales Indicators weekly
- Runaweekly sales team meeting and development meetingswith direct reports
- Build and document systems
- Track and build habits
- Continually recruit and maintain5-starsalespeople
- Develop, maintain and build your own book of commercial and industrial accounts
- Leadandmanagethe sales team to achieve sales targets and increase revenue
- Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to achieve goals and objectives
- Participate in developing and managing revenue and expense budgets for the sales department
- Identify new business opportunities and develop a plan to capitalize on them
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- 5+ years of combined solar sales / management experience
- 4- year bachelors degree preferred
- Deep understanding of CI solar financing, economics and deal flow
- Experience in recruiting, training, and managing a sales team
- Proven sales leadership experience with a track record of exceeding targets and driving business growth
- Strong sales acumen with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead by example in a sales-driven culture
- Travel necessary - must have a valid driver's license AND an acceptable motor vehicle report
- Full time: Mon-Fri. Remote- 1-2 days quarterly in office
Salary Compensation
- $80,000- $120,000annual salary (depending on experience)
- Health, vision, and dental insurance after 90 days
- Paid Holidays after 90 days
