Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Duties:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development
- Assist in supervising and training kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and food preparation standards
- Oversee food production, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of all dishes
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency and adherence to established standards
- Assist in creating and implementing cost control measures to maximize profitability
- Collaborate with the banquet and catering departments to ensure successful execution of events
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen area
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and culinary trends
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to accommodate special requests
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including inventory management and cost control measures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.
