SUMMARY
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (carpentry, painting, landscaping, plumbing and minor repairs.). Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned. Can work under immediate supervision or by oneself. Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager/assist. Maintenance Manager. Will have formal maintenance/operator training in the specific areas assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
- Operate/monitor/repair/pm multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
- Is capable of performing basic mechanical and electrical functions using provided tools to ensure continued operations
- Communicates with team members and management to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the maintenance field
- Housekeeping and sanitation
- Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as directed.
- Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time
