SUMMARY
The Clinic Assistant (CA) under the supervision of the Professional Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse, and/or the Physician, is responsible for providing age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintaining a safe environment, collecting information, communicating effectively, and utilizing technology. The CA performs patient care tasks and selected therapies as delegated by a licensed professional. The role of the CA also includes patient advocacy, teaching and performance improvement. The CA functions in the ambulatory settings, such as Emergency, Clinics, and Neighborhood Health Centers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program, Medic in the Military, or one year of experience (on-the-job training) at Grady Health System as a Clinic Assistant
