Legal Litigation Administrative Assistant
The Litigation Administration Assistant provides administrative support to several litigation attorneys and other general office support.
Responsibilities
Assists with a wide variety of administrative responsibilities including electronic and hard copy filing, drafting e-mails and documents, organizing and assembling documents, and scheduling meetings.
Maintains litigation calendars and schedules for attorneys, including court dates, deadlines for filing documents and other important dates.
Responds to inquiries from legal and administrative staff and directs to appropriate team member(s) to handle, as necessary.
Assists in preparing for trials, hearings and depositions by organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders and other materials needed for presentations in court.
Files legal documents on court dockets and serves documents on opposing parties as required by the court rules and procedures.
Assists with coordinating travel, meetings, calendars and other administrative tasks.
Assists with billing tasks.
Maintains organized electronic and physical files to ensure easy retrieval and access for attorneys and other team members.
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
1+ years of applicable administrative work experience preferred. Legal environmental experience a plus.
Must have the ability to work and interact with attorneys and administrative professionals at all levels.
Excellent organization and communication skills, in addition to superior judgment; the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain meticulous records.
Attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel, is strongly preferred.
Team player and ability to work well under pressure and coordinate several activities at one time.
Capable of solving problems and meeting deadlines.
Ability to deal discreetly with confidential information.
Availability to work overtime, as needed.
This position is a hybrid position with Tuesday-Thursday in our Bala Cynwyd office and Monday and Friday optional remote. The hours for this position are 9:30 to 5:30.
