Technical Support Specialist – Part-Time
Cambridge Business Publishers, Location - Remote with in-person training at Westmont office
Our technical support team provides support services to instructors and students that utilize our online learning platform, myBusinessCourse, and our digital resources. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a can-do attitude and a strong desire to provide outstanding customer assistance to join our team.
Hours: We are looking to hire individuals to join our existing team that will work together to cover these shifts:
- Weekday evenings: 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm
- Saturday and Sundays: 11:00 am – 10:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Assist both students and instructors via phone, email and ticketing system with questions related to accessing and using our platform – ensuring a timely resolution and customer satisfaction for every request or inquiry.
- Troubleshoot to determine a resolution for technical support issues - document troubleshooting conducted for issues that require escalation and promptly route to team members for review.
- Collaborate with team members on technical support issues to improve efficiency and enhance communication.
- Gather and report user feedback and requests to the team regarding platform improvements and bugs.
- Assist the development team with quality assurance testing to ensure software releases meet functional expectations. Execute test cases and report observations to the development team.
- Assist with other projects consistent with the role and as determined by the needs of the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or in pursuit of bachelors.
- 2 years customer support experience. 1-2 years technical support experience using ticket system, preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong knowledge of using various software applications and navigating digital tools efficiently
- Exceptional customer service skills – friendly, accommodating, and willing to go the extra mile.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to resolve problems independently and in a timely manner, as well as identifying alternative solutions.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task.
- Reliable and disciplined.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
