Job description:
This job is to support the IT Manager in troubleshooting and improving our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The job requires a solid foundation of general business knowledge and the ability to quickly develop an understanding of our business and our industry. You will focus on using our ERP system to identify and pursue opportunities for meaningful improvement of practices or processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use SQL and M1 proprietary scripting language to develop custom reports within the ERP.
- Support ERP end users to find creative solutions to problems – requires a broad understanding of business operations and deep knowledge of ERP-based management of core business processes.
- Study business-wide ERP use patterns and practices to identify and pursue opportunities for efficiency gains and other process improvement and optimization.
- Collaborate with colleagues in IT department in optimizing ERP performance.
- Test and deploy new customizations, functions, integrations, and data migrations.
- Support ERP users on technical questions and problems
- Troubleshoot ERP-related devices and peripherals, such as barcode scanners, label printers, and laser printers.
Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- Training and experience in relevant disciplines (MIS, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, etc.)
- JavaScript, SQL, other programming languages; advanced Excel and Access skills; or other business software experience a plus
- 2+ years’ experience in ERP implementation, support, or management. ECi Solutions M1, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or Sage preferred,
- Interest and proven ability to quickly learn the ins and outs of various business functions, including manufacturing, supply chain management, sales, purchasing, quality control, and accounting.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills; sharp attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, flexibility, and ability to collaborate effectively with a professional and positive attitude.
- Skilled problem solver able to anticipate, identify, analyze, and solve complex challenges.
Physical Requirements:
Continuously requires prolonged periods of sitting and using computer keyboard. Regular periods of standing and/or walking. Consistently requires seeing, hearing, talking, and fine dexterity. Occasionally requires lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, and crouching. - Daytime: 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime eligible
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
