ABOUT THE ROLE As a Controls Software Engineer 1 here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for developing and implementing software solutions for our control systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy software applications that meet the needs of our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact in the field of controls engineering.
You will report directly to our Software Engineering Manager out of Mason office or remote location.
In this role, you will impact the development of software solutions that enable efficient and reliable control of industrial processes. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to design and implement software applications, conduct testing and debugging, and ensure the successful deployment of control systems.

The salary range for this position is ($71,000 - $91,000). The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and build tag list from MC4, BOSS, ICW, Rockwell PLC, WES software solutions.
- Build and execute Asset Test cases, Calculation validation and KPI validation.
- Conduct testing and debugging of software applications to ensure functionality and reliability
- Participate in the deployment and commissioning of Performance + software
- Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and provide technical support
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in controls engineering
Experience with the following:
o Script c/c++
o Unit testing, Integration/Visual regression testing
o Proficiency and comfort learning underlying UI Development Frameworks

MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as computer science, electrical engineering, or related field
- 1 year experience in a related field
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
WE VALUE:
- Experience with control systems and industrial automation
- Familiarity with PLC programming and SCADA systems
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, or Ethernet/IP
