The HR generalist is responsible for assisting the HR Manager with the performance of effective and efficient day-to-day Human Resources functions for our world-class Buccaneer team. General responsibilities include coordinating the hiring process including the recruiting and selection of top talent, successful onboarding, and orientation for new talent, coordinating the performance review system, employee benefits administration, managing employee data including payroll and confidential employee files, and assisting in the wellness, safety, and security programs.
Main Duties:
- Coordinate the staffing and recruitment process including effective job posting to attract top talent, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and performing follow up communication
- Maintain an applicant database and preparing recruitment process reporting to ensure efficacy of the process
- Plan onboarding strategies and perform new employees’ orientation to deliver an exceptional early experience
- Utilize the HR and Payroll software to accurately input information related to payroll and employee benefits
- Assist with the payroll process including timecard review and approvals, and post payroll reporting
- Coordinate the performance review process including ensuring the timeliness of reviews, process review documents and prepare reports relating to performance evaluations
- Record attendance and leave and conduct absences administration
- Organize hard and soft copies of employee records using effective ways to reduce paper while maintaining compliance
- Ensure all employee documents and information both electronic and hard copy is accurately completed and up to date
- Support employees with efficient problem-solving when any human resources issues arise
- Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data
- Arrange seminars, workshops, additional HR training, and conferences based on each department's needs
- Coordinate Wellness activities including monthly newsletter development, quarterly activities, and annual wellness fair.
- Assist in the successful and efficient safety program including Coordinate monthly safety meetings schedule training and conduct audits.
- Process accident reporting and assist with investigations
- Recommend and develop employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee relations
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience working in the human resources field
- Certification in Human Resources – SHRM – CP or PHR a plus
- Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- High level of customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Demonstrated proficiency in working with MS Office programs (Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Excellent problem solving/ judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage interpersonal conflict situations effectively
- Good organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong presentation and instructional skills
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
