David Arkin Consulting is looking for a talented and creative Content Writer to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with 1-2 years of professional experience or an outstanding recent college graduate.
In this full-time role you will have the opportunity to create branded content and digital content for our diverse and growing client base which includes newspapers, magazines, TV stations, media associations and vendors.
This is a remote position offering lots of flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while being part of a supportive and talented team. You will work directly with our founder, David Arkin, who has more than 25 years of news and content experience leading some of the largest and most innovative news organizations in the country.
Since launching almost two years ago, our consulting company now serves nearly two dozen clients and was recently named second place for the Best R&D Company as part of the Local Media Association’s annual Digital Innovation Contest.
Responsibilities:
- Create compelling and engaging branded content for a variety of clients in small towns and large metro areas.
- Develop outstanding digital content for our clients’ websites in areas like real estate, things to do and education.
- Create social media content for our clients’ platforms including creating vertical video.
- Conduct research to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with clients and advertisers to brainstorm and develop content ideas.
- Optimize content for SEO to increase web traffic and improve search engine rankings.
- Proofread and edit content to ensure high quality and consistency.
- Work closely with clients to understand their brand voice and content needs.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of professional writing experience or an outstanding recent college graduate.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles.
- Ability to create engaging content tailored to different audiences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with content management systems and social media platforms.
- A portfolio showcasing your writing skills and versatility is a plus.
